D's mind is a cacophony of things.
The landscape is shadow and darkness, and it is chilly and reserved where D sits in it; he feels like a simple young man. Quiet, soft, human. But behind the stoicism is a warm, sensual, and elegant sliver of something primordial and powerful. Embracing it is hypnotic, arousing, yet also a little horrifying.
Amidst all of this is something else, too: a craggled and old presence which can be heard on occasion cackling or chattering separately, the crusty voice belonging neither to D or the peculiar entity in the space.

Instead, Dokja who has rocks for brains tilts his head to the side (rocks rattle with the movement) as he watches Eustace get up from his seat. He had thought they could sit here and chat for a little while longer, but apparently that's not going to be happening. ]
I guess so.
[ Is he finally sensing that something is off... It's so hard to tell when Eustace is a stoic!! But Dokja will also pick up his bowl of soup and then Gray's and D's as he starts clearing the table, all while glancing over to the kitchen to where Eustace is. ]
You'll get to know him, too, right?

It'll be hard to live with him if I don't.
[ Truly the most awkwardly phrased 'yes' in the history of mankind. But despite the noncommittal tone of voice, the words are actually true. Just give him a week to decompress and then they can all coexist peacefully.
In the meantime! ]
I'm going out for a walk. I'll do the dishes when I get back.
[ Did he literally just come from the outdoors half an hour ago? Yeah maybe, but there's no rule that says a man can't go back outside after coming inside. So sorry to Boba who wanted to stalk drama and was cruelly denied.... ]

Don't worry about the dishes. I'll do them.
[ It's not like he has anything better to do when the teens are hanging around outside... Though he is a little mystified on why Eustace is heading back out so soon after arriving home.
But with his thoughts still on the dinner party and the eagerness to see how D and Gray do after their backyard stint together, he finds that he can't focus up all that well on what's in front of him. ]
Be safe, [ he says like always when they part ways. ] I'll see you in a little while.

He looks over at Dokja standing next to him at the sink and then, because there's no one else in the house (discounting their menagerie of animals), leans forward to give Dokja a quick kiss on the forehead. Sorry to make things gay. ]
I will.
[ And then he's off, headed towards the door for some much needed alone time so he can think Deep Thoughts about this new living situation. Which leaves Dokja alone to go voyeur on the teens outside, or even go join them later if he really wants. Goodbye again everyone, have a nice thread. ]
